SAFE 511 at Padres Opening Day

When: Tuesday, April 5th from 11:30am to 5pm

Where: J Street between 7th and 10th Ave. in the East Village

SAFE_511_016The Opening Day for the San Diego Padres was celebrated with an elaborate East Village Block Party which saw thousands of visitors. The event, free of charge, featured many local businesses of all kinds including food, furniture, radio stations and of course, SAFE 511. With countless food trucks, a refreshing beer garden, live music, free giveaways, and thousands of Padre fans, the event was a fantastic way to spend a sunny San Diego afternoon.

SAFE was located with the XX 1090 Sports Radio tent where there was lots of traffic and several live radio interviews happening throughout the day, including Padre owner Jeff Moorad. The contest being held on our Facebook page for free Padres tickets got a lot of attention from fans and locals lining the streets. And who doesn’t want free goodies? Tons of air fresheners and information cards were passed out to get people familiar with our company and service.

Overall the East Village Opening Day Block party was a successful event for SAFE 511 as it was great opportunity for our representatives to engage with the community and get feedback on our public service.

Baseball fans were happy to watch the Padres come out with a victorious win over the San Francisco Giants in the season opener!

  • Keep track of your gas fill-ups and mileage. A pad and pencil is all it takes. Notice that your gas mileage worsens? Tune-up time!
  • We have our last car hidden! Good luck! Hint: FSP http://t.co/yDfaZiFb #giveaways
  • See a tanker at your gas station? Come back another time because the turbulence caused by the underground filling can stir up sediment.
  • What are your new year's resolutions? What about: make sure to get an oil change in a timely manner. #newyearsresolutions
