Melisa and Kaye's Memorial 5K Walk and Fun Run

 

When: Saturday, April 2 from 9am to noon

Where: Liberty Station - Point Loma

 

The SAFE 511 Team spent a beautiful Saturday morning at the Melisa and Kaye's Memorial 5K Walk and Fun Run at Liberty Station. With over 1,200 participants and countless friends and family there for support, the event celebrated the lives of loved ones past and present and  supported the mission of San Diego Hospice and The Institute for Palliative Medicine and raised more than $104,000 for the organization.

SAFE 511 participated in the events' Health and Information Fair providing information about the 511 program, handouts and "511" air freshners to the event's attendees. In all, it was a great Saturday morning spent supporting a great cause and providing San Diegans with useful information.
